1. First, purchase a server from AEZA, Contabo or Spacecore.

We’ve started using the AEZA service more due to its high reliability and speed. However, you can also choose Contabo.

Server specifications:

Recommended Requirements:

  • Fast CPU with 2+ cores
  • 4GB+ RAM
  • 8+ MBit/sec download Internet service

The verifier node does not need a static IP address or open ports.

The verifier node does not require significant storage capacity. The minimum storage needed is merely for the software and its configuration, which should be less than 100MB.

2. Set up the server on your PC.

Log in using the command root@ip.

But before that, we recommend securing your server. Read more in our article.

3. Preparation

1. Create a Metamask wallet.

Make sure to save the seed phrase and wallet password!

2. Get test OpBNB tokens.

1) Add the test network.

3. Go to BNB Chain Discord

  • Complete verification and go to the “faucet-guide” -> “testnet-faucet” sections.
  • Request tokens following the instructions. They will arrive in your wallet within 5 minutes.

4. Transfer your testing assets to opBNB

4. Install the script.

Run the following command and download:

sudo bash -c 'git clone https://github.com/dknodes/glacierDK.git && cd glacierDK && chmod ugo+x glacierDK.sh && ./glacierDK.sh'

1) Install and Start the Node 🛠️
2) Stop the Node 🗑️
3) View Logs đź“„
4) Exit 🚪

To use the commands, press the appropriate number and then the “enter”.

5. Example Usage: Installing the Node

Step 1: Select Install Node

From the main menu, enter 1 to choose the Install Node option.

During the setup, you’ll be asked to enter your private key — enter it, and VOILÀ, the node is up and running!

Enter command 3 and check the logs.

Step 2: Check Node

Wait a bit (maybe an hour), then head to the site to check out your node.
